JUNIOR REGIONAL PERFORMANCE CENTRES IN THE SOUTH 2009/10 Introduction: This is to inform players, parents, coaches, counties and clubs of the arrangements for Junior Regional Performance Centres in the South in 2010.
JUNIOR REGIONAL PERFORMANCE CENTRES IN THE SOUTH 2009/10 Introduction: This is to inform players, parents, coaches, counties and clubs of the arrangements for Junior Regional Performance Centres in the South in 2010. Please feel free to circulate this as widely as possible.
2009 JRPCs: The process is now complete and we would like to thank all players, parents, coaches and administrators for their support. In particular, we would like to thank the three co-ordinators, Lia Waine, Andy Rogers and Treena Partridge, who put in a huge amount of time to ensure that the process worked well- and to the many other people who contributed in many ways. The process has been reviewed at both EH and South level and we hope that the process will work even better in 2010, especially since there has been a full year's experience nationally on which which to build..
JRPCs in 201o: There will be again 12 centres nationally. The three managed by the South are at Eastleigh, Tonbridge and Oxford, with one at Northwood, Middlesex, (near Watford) managed by the East. We are pleased that Andy Rogers has agreed to co-ordinate Tonbridge and Treena Partridge Oxford again. We shall be advertising shortly for a co-ordinator for Eastleigh as Lia Waine has decided to step down.
Dates: The dates for the sessions at Regional level in 2010 are: Under 15/16 June 27th July 3rd July 25thh August 23rd and 24th September 4th Under 17/18 June 26th July 4th July 24th August 25th and 26th September 5th Tier 1 cluster competition weekends (U15/16/17/18 squads from each JRPC) are September 12th and 26th. Tier 2 preparation days for Under 16 and Under 18 are Sunday October 10th and 24th. HIPAC (Under 15 and Under 17) dates are to be confirmed.
Nomination to JRPC 2010: One area which needs to be clarified is that of the process for players to be nominated to JRPCs. We shall be working out an easier and more efficient process for JAC organisers to pass on their nominations, recognising that this year's took much more time than necessary. The following statement has been agreed with EH: 'All players who attend the JRPC should normally return to thenext round of JAC. This includes National Age Group players, unless they are playing regular National League hockey, though NAGS commitments will take priority. Players will be asked to contact appropriate JAC organisers. Nominations to JRPCs will normally be through JACs, though other nominations may, in exceptional circumstances, be accepted in 2010 when supported by witness statements from suitable adults, such as a school teacher or coach. Any player attending a JAC and not nominated by the JAC Organisers cannot seek to attend JRPC by another route.' Any player involved in the JRPC process in 2009 and anyone else who wishes to be considered for JRPC in 2010 who has not been contacted should contact their nearest Junior Academy Centre organiser: Bucks: Kate Porter - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Oxfordshire: Jane Chilvers - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Sussex : Morag Greenway – This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Surrey : Tony Hilton – This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Kent : James Daniels – This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Middlesex: Sara Walker - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Berks: Paul Dunn Sims - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Hants: Sara Lunn - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it With other queries, please contact the South Office on on 01628 897503 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it South Development Working Group |
